"New World Order" by Elle Casey (War of the Fae #4)

Will the fae will be able to make the sacrifices they must to survive?

Jayne Sparks and her Light Fae changeling friends face off in the final battle against their enemies. But the identify of their true enemies isn't as clear as it once was. Are they the ones breaking down their doors ... or perhaps another entity, hiding in the shadows?

Friends come and go, bridges burned are rebuilt, love is lost and found. The survival of the fae depends on the answer to one question: Which burns hotter ... hatred or hope?

In the final installment of the War of the Fae series, we find Jayne struggling to understand the extent of her powers, as well as who exactly is in the right (or should I say wrong?). Elle Casey adds new characters to the story plot which makes things a whole load more interesting.

I must say, throughout the whole book, I honestly just wanted to know what became of Chase. I'd been in love with his character since the beginning of the series. The silent tough guy, who lives only to protect Jayne Sparks. *swooooon.* But also, after the ending of the third book, I was so angry at him for some of the choices he'd made.

Many secrets were uncovered in this book, some I saw coming, but others had me face-palming myself like... how on earth did I not see that one coming?! As usual, this book was well written & more action packed than her previous books. Well, duh. What else can we expect from Elle Casey, just when you think she can't make the books any better, she pulls a miracle out of her writing bag.

I must warn you though, this book is absolutely heartbreaking at certain points. (It definitely had me bawling more bucket loads than usual, or well... considerably more than I thought was humanly possible.)

FIVE STARS!

This series is continued in her Clash of the Otherworlds series. And I certainly cannot wait to pick up the first book! I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT JAW DROPPING CONCLUSION.
*Spins around in my chair like a crazy person.*

"Darkness & Light" by Elle Casey

The animosity between Darkness & Light continues to grow, as do Jayne's supernatural, elemental abilities in the Green Forest. Long-lost friends arrive, new friends leave, passion burns, and mysteries abound. What is Light and what is Dark? Who can the Light Fae trust? Who will be left standing in the end and whose side will they be on? Nothing is ever as it seems, and all is fair in love and War of the Fae.

Elle Casey does not disappoint with Darkness & Light, this book had me crying from sadness, and from laughing too hard. It was, as usual, well written & action packed. Although there were a few lull chapters I found myself reeling from all the plot twists, some in which had me screaming out in frustration!

But overall, I enjoyed this book thoroughly and would recommend it for anyone who is looking for an intense, humor-filled read!

Four stars! I can't wait to see how the final book, New World Order, has in store for me.

"Call to Arms" by Elle Casey (War of the Fae #2)

"Call to Arms is Book Two in the War of the Fae, YA fantasy series.

Follow Jayne Sparks, the (still) potty-mouthed seventeen-year-old and newly changed elemental fae and her friends - an incubus, a daemon, a green elf, a water sprite and a pixie - as they struggle to find their places in the Light Fae community of the Green Forest and prepare for the upcoming battle against the Dark Fae."

In the second book of the series, we find Jayne learning to control her powers and just what  they are, being special isn't all it seems to be. She learns that not all people will react positively to her existence in their community... But she will also learn that respect and trust isn't given willingly, it must be earned.

We learn more about Fae History throughout the book, which thoroughly intrigued me, especially learning about all the different kinds of Fae. We begin to get more in-depth knowledge about all the other characters, and the roles they play within the Fae Society.

There were moments in this book where I just wanted to cry, but thanks to Mrs Casey's undying sense of humor, I always came bouncing back in fits of laughter. The story continues to develop in this installment of War of the Fae, I can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

Four stars!

"The Changelings" by Elle Casey (War of the Fae #1)

"WAR OF THE FAE is a 4-book, YA Contemporary Fantasy series, written for older teens and adults.

Jayne Sparks, a potty-mouthed, rebellious seventeen-year-old and her best friend, shy and bookish Tony Green, have a pretty typical high school existence, until several seemingly unrelated incidents converge, causing a cascade of events that change their lives forever. Jayne and Tony, together with a group of runaway teens, are hijacked and sent into a forest, where nothing and no one are as they seem. Who will emerge triumphant? And what will they be when they do?

**No sex or drugs. Yes, contains some violence and foul language - some might say excessive foul language. Not meant for middle-grade readers (less than 15 years of age).**"

I must say that I was rather taken aback by how slow this book started off, but once things picked up - they REALLY picked up, and I was never left without action.

Jane is a character and a half, the blurb really doesn't hold back on how potty-mouthed she is, but I found myself falling more and more in love with her character - there were times that I would grin like crazy at my kindle, and there were others that I would end up fully laughing til my eyes teared up.

I loved how she didn't learn who or what she was instantaneously, unlike most books that i've read... The character barely develops then, BAM! - they're telling you who and what he/she is and the "destiny" they're bound for. This book definitely kept me wanting to continue reading on just to figure out what happens next! And of course, the infamous cliffhanger ending left me like... WHUUUUUT?! No way in hell am I going to take that as the end of the book, so obviously I had to pick up the next book in the series, like... PRONTO!

Four stars!
